HEY, IM PAT
I’m a physical Product Designer with 15+ years of Hardgoods and Softgoods experience. Whether its cut and sew, welded/bonded, fabricated, machined, or molded, I love bringing ideas into the physical space. At heart I am a minimalist. I believe understanding the most distilled aspects of a problem is key to building meaningful products, solving problems, and taping into our desires. This grounds the emotional aspects and turns the subjective into objective. My experience has ranged from consumer products, houseware, drinkware, power tools, and outdoor gear.
MY APPROACH
We have hundreds of interactions with objects and our environment everyday. As users, consumers, and producers we react to and influence these relationships every time. This interaction between user, objects, materials, environments, and the systems which they live in, is what draws my focus and interest. In every project I try to balance material selection, sustainability, functionality, usability, and aesthetics; letting the needs of the problem define the order of their importance.
